More like a fancy Deus Ex.
Uhm what no. Something in the milk neutralizes sharpies. Also cheese, as funny as it is. I eat a whole chilli with a piece of Greyerzer on sundays. Because i thought the glass is pickled veggies and they have to get eaten.
Is this something like a nuclear Kenshi?
Because humans also don’t like their natural predators, like wolves, cougars, that’s what i meant. Not to disparage your profession.
Actually, we only have to do the hunting (aside from the meat), because we fucked the ecosystem up in the last two millennia.
Or ancient. Roman salt-roast with honey is great! Just needs a fuckton of salt.
And yet any pdf reader has one of the largest libraries to render a single format.
History of PDF is basically: We need a standard format to get print jobs over there > Postscript > let’s add feature X > also feature y > make it do thing too! > uh oh, it’s gotten too powerful, security galore > reboot and slim it down > PDF > let’s add feature X > also feature y > …
A fascinating thing (in a scary way) is that PostScript is technically a full programming language with loops, functions, logic, and a built-in font rendering and 2D graphics engine.
It also had a extension to create NextStep UI with it.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How can an airplane hit -47°c (-52°f) temperatures while flying over Southern Florida?
7·2 days agoYeah, it’s not as simple as the comments suggest.

I think a good start are those articles: Athmosphere of Earth, Albedo, Greenhouse effect, together with the facts
- the thinner the gas (less atoms per m³), the less temperature it transfers
- athmosphere filters light: which is why we see the sky as blue and why a very clear hot day has a high UV index (though most of the dangerous radiation gets reflected)
- space temperature works via radiation; the habitable band around earth has 80 to 120°C in direct sun exposure, while it’s freezing -120 to -150°C in earths shadow; mainly through infrared radiation
I guess the short version is; a balance between infrared reflectivity and direct transfer, with heat house effect also playing a role. But the ground absorbing the majority of the radiation/temperature, is the main reason in the Troposphere.
