VPN - IVPN. I was a previous Mullvad user. They were great, but you’re probably already aware of their own controversy. Not free obviously, and you probably know a free VPN is a bad idea.
Authenticator - Ente is free and with cloud backups.

This doesn’t work for stuff like tickets where there is a convenience fee for them to not print you a physical ticket. So you’re paying for their convenience.
Just search for concert backpacks. They are transparent so security doesn’t need to open it to see what’s inside.

Possibly Apple pushing their AI and integrating airpods with it, so it’s always listening. You’ll probably still be able to disable it by turning of Siri learning from it, but Apple makes it frustratingly hard to turn off their AI features.
In my experience and use-cases, they are pretty much the same. IVPN has a bit of an edge with bypassing geo restrictions with streaming services. It seems their IPs are less known than Mullvad.
