I recently found my phone can capture some pretty good shots of the night sky. I have dabbled with some setups at home but managed to get a good photo while camping this week since it was much darker.
iPhone 15 pro max with tripod and Bluetooth clicker. 30s exposure, with some adjustments to brightness and contrast to help define the fainter stars from the background wash.

Used to go the Glen Rose on weekend camping trips as a kid. Not sure I’ve ever seen it mentioned anywhere, ever.

Awesome! Modern phones can capture some amazing landscape astro photos with the right settings.
You can even stack multiple exposures for additional detail!
Not often I see my neck of the woods - I grew up in Burleson. In my religious upbringing days, we’d go down to a big Christian camp outside of Glen Rose. So I have mixed feelings about those memories. heh. But it’s really pretty down that way.
And this is a really nice shot :)
