From Mark Shocken

When I don’t have anything new to work on and it’s not a good day for wildlife photography, I go back to my archives and look for photos I liked and may or may not have posted in the past. I use the raw image and reprocess it in the style that I now practice. So, here’s a barred owl from May 29, 2022, photographed in Pinellas County, Florida. The owl is actually a juvenile who was with mom learning to hunt. It probably left soon after this photograph was taken and I hope it did well in the wild wherever it is.
