Linux Phones@lemmy.ml•[PATCH v3 00/12] Enable more nodes for the Xperia 10 IIIEnglish
4·2 days agoI was really expecting your last paragraph to say the opposite of what it says 😂

I don’t have this device but, on behalf of everybody who does and will be able to run mainline linux on it in the future due to your work: thank you!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are some examples of widely-used software projects which were created using LLMs? Do you use any yourself?English
2·2 days agoyeah, i’d say that counts… though (like all of the other answers in this thread so far, except the Hangul word processor replacement) it is also a tool largely for using AI 🤔

4·2 days agohuh? re-read what i wrote. what you’re describing meets the definition of what i said i was specifically not asking for examples of.

3·2 days agoI would be very surprised if there is any significant piece of software recently developed (or older, but recently modified) that don’t has any AI behind, wether in design coding testing or documentation.
there are still a fair number of very actively-maintained projects which have zero-AI policies, but i do agree that most new software projects started recently are being created with heavy “AI assistance”.
my question is: what are some examples of them which have already gained wide adoption?

5·2 days agowow i just tuned in to their “AI DJ” demo stream and listened to the LLM-to-TTS making radio-DJ-style small talk between tracks and… i don’t know what to say besides 🤮
really disgusting stuff. it does have 1.6k stars on github for whatever that’s worth (people do buy those, and i see this project is trying to sell itself as a hosted service after all…), but i really hope not many people actually use or listen to this slop 😢

4·2 days agoThe product I work on in work is over 10 years old and has a huge codebase so I don’t know if it really meets the definition of ‘LLM created’ at least not entirely so
huh? 10 years ago LLMs hadn’t been invented yet.
icymi my post says:
I’m specifically not looking for examples of widely-used projects which already existed before LLMs and which today are accepting LLM-assisted contributions - I know of plenty of examples of those.
