Doesn’t China already ban the importing of cars in general? To me it would seem the US would leveling the situation between countries.
China allows foreign cars if they’re built in China. The USA law would ban Chinese cars entirely. That’s fuel for the retaliatory ban fire. We’ll see what happens. China might just wait it out - the USA auto industry will die off if it can’t get its act together and be globally competitive.
That’s why every manufacturer that sells cars in China has a joint venture with a Chinese company in China that manufactures and sells those vehicles.
I’m game, let’s do it. They might be doing the right thing for wrong reasons but I’m a consequentialist so idgaf.
