Here arguments don’t go in circles so much.

A: we should abolish the police

B: no they perform useful services!

    A: like what, exactly?

    B: like killing undesirables!

A: [this is where I just stop replying because they’ve proven my point]

At least you can appreciate that humans aren’t designed to keep the conversation going forever.

Police interact with people on some of the worst days of their lives. They are also an entry point to an adversarial legal system and sometimes decide to kill you.

Uh oh nuance to go in circles around!

A lot of the time what makes those days the worst of someone’s life is, you know, the near-irresistable force pursuing them with guns and chains and a high resolution global surveillance network

I avoid cops like the plague but I’m not kidding that a significant number of people call in and invite police to a situation over the dumbest shit you can imagine.

This is a shit post community btw so I’m not trying to engage in real argument about the scale of police or whether they should exist.

They’re kinda the worst. I know they suck and we should get rid of em the way I know my shit stinks and I should wipe
