Thank you.
This whole thing was a cascade of very unlikely events. I’m close to survivors guilt with how it all went but luckily not there, too.
Actually there’s something missing. The split population of which many think they could ascend - and a few even do. But the main point being those are in front of the building and fight the others.
Sure, I wouldn’t have offered it otherwise. Early in the morning my heart stopped, I was lucky and got immediate support, was resuscitated. That’s the very short version of it.
Still, I don’t have any, fear regarding this, so I thought I might be of help.
Can I help you with anything regarding this, being a person which had exactly that happen?
Yes, so its an unknown insane waste of energy.

2·4 days agoJust assume worst case that is always the case, because it is.
For example: communication will technically always originate at yourself. This is at a small and big scale and includes not only your IP, network, carrier etc but also client attributes and characteristics which in whole always can create a very unique picture even with parts missing.
Also a good example is the location data which recently was a source of news at least here in Germany. Because sharing limited pseudonymized data on mobiles in a single app makes you completely identifyable, showing you leaving and returning to your home address routinely/daily.
Me, as an example, even though I live in a major German city can also easily be identified since there are many unique things of which I need just name a few and you could identify me if you have citizen and medical data, and a that takes are leaks. So of course I try to withhold a bit. Luckily even then half of what I am telling ist believed by many because it is unlikely or sounding like overacted.
Anyhow, lots of reasons why even distributed data from you can make you identifyable or correlate things you wouldn’t like.

2·4 days agoLife lesson: everything you put online could be exposed at some point. And the responsible admins can always (except for correctly encrypted things where you might need to trust they did this) see everything.
So the best course of action will always be data minimization.
(disclaimer: I’ve administered a lot myself and of course everyone should adhere to a legal framework and moral code. And of course we/you need the time to do your/our job.)
European here. House with ACs and we use 10 to 26 Kwh per day metered. So to me yours seems awfully high except if you tell me you’re 6 people and using the washing machine twice daily and baking something multiple hours.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Can you tell the native language of the people from these clips?
0·18 days agoWell, the language would always be English, right? (You asked for it 😁)
