I am incredibly annoyed that I tried to get one of those and actually ended up with a patched YOC (2411A).
I don’t suppose anybody (or any clanker) has figured out a root exploit for those yet?
Get

Fuck that! “Public” is not the same as “panopticon,” but that’s what pervasive surveillance cameras turn it into!
Look for random no-name cameras that support “ONVIF” and keep them firewalled away from the Internet.
I was about to make a point about how the USS Odyssey being destroyed by the Jem’Hadar with all hands lost is a case in point, but it turns out that they did exactly that:
Fortunately, most non-essential crewmembers and all civilians had been offloaded at DS9 prior to departure, saving hundreds of lives.

We’re too busy dealing with Terminator right now; we don’t have the capacity to deal with GATTACA too!
A burger is its own reward.
Get a burger or other food (often discounted on trivia night) but don’t actually drink.
I wonder how many millions of programmer man-hours have been wasted working around JavaScript’s design mistakes that could’ve been saved simply by putting Scheme or Python (which were actually being considered) in the browser instead.

Okay, but he would’ve found a smarter and less wantonly destructive way to get back at him.
I mean, sure, the scene is fine for some random protagonist. But this is (supposed to be) Star Trek and Kirk, damn it, and for him it’s just plain wrong!
But thanks so much for trying to treksplain Trek to a trekkie while downvoting as if I’m not entitled to my opinion.
If you want to be able to light up a room with only one entrance, no.
If you want to be able to light up a hallway from either end, yes. Also, I don’t know about “OLEDs” and “2s,” but one of the switches needs to be a 3-way.

I watched it after posting that comment. Yes, it was his stepdad’s car, and no, he was a preteen at the oldest. But even as a kid I refuse to believe that it’s in real Kirk’s (i.e. Kirk Prime’s) character to behave like that and I reject it for Kelvin-Kirk as well.

No, I mean that Star Trek doesn’t necessarily have a proper individual ‘protagonist,’ or if it does, it’d have to be Kirk, not Spock.

I kinda hate the 2009 movie, and the notion that Kirk would destroy an antique like that is part of why.
Less fucked-up than Javascript.

Star Trek Online has both Enterprise(?) and TOS-style Gorn as playable characters.

That is not the only way to make billionaires not be billionaires.

I won’t dispute the heroism of the act, but does Spock count as the protagonist of an ensemble cast?
Except Waldo’s power is entirely based on blending in with a crowd.
