star fleet wouldnt stand a chance against 8472 anyways, just send in thier planet killer ship and earth goes bye bye. plus janeway gave the modified nanoprobes to them, so they likely are immune to it now.

if the prophets dint close the wormhomle, the dominion wouldve easily trashed the alpha quadrant.

It reminds me of that exchange in Blaze of Glory, between Sisko and Eddington.

“And you drove them back! Right into the arms of the MAGAts Dominion! End of story.”

The only way to make billionaires not be billionaires is to do everything possible to avoid money. I am not saying to avoid wealth, but to trade in value rather than money. Don’t exchange currency when possible. Trade your work. Trade your goods.

Yes, I know that a certain amount of money exchange is required, but everyone doing their part can have an effect.

They’ve been through so many redesigns at this point. Enterprise, the Kelvin Star Trek Game, Online had a more faithful adaption, then obviously SNW completely overhauled them (for worse IMO). And thats not counting comics.

Lower Decks is the only time they used the TOS design, during Rutherford’s blackouts he ends up in the middle of a Gorn wedding.

Star Trek Online has both Enterprise(?) and TOS-style Gorn as playable characters.

At least, we have reason to hope that the Skydance era of Paramount won’t last long: AFAIK Skydance is underwritten by the Ellison’s family fortune, but that is by now deeply entangled with the AI bubble, because David’s father, Larry Ellison, has invested so much in it. If the AI bubble bursts, it remains to be seen how much longer the Ellison family can keep control over the Skydance conglomerate. Of course, it would not serve Paramount well if it had to change owners yet again.

through ORACLE which builds the AI datancenters. they dont seem to have adirect hand in meddling with the franchise though. its the shitty showrunners they keep using for trek.

Star Trek will end up owned by the Saudis.

Even if he lost 99% of his wealth, he still has $ 3.65 billion. Rich people can afford to fail big time and suffer no real consequences.

It’s not a problem specific to Paramount or even the industry–t’s an economy-wide problem. We are being run by finances guys that understand nothing but make line go up, not movies, not video games, not chocolate bars, not beloved TV franchises.

Ellison’s money comes from Oracle which is in on the AI stuff but his money is still made by having its claws deep into many of the fortune 500. Even if the bubble bursts he’s still got plenty of money left to first his paramount gambit.

No great loss. Since the '80s, Star Trek was the McDonalds hamburger of science fiction. You don’t choose it because it’s good, you choose it because it’s readily available.

Shame they have the ST property. I won’t watch any more shows that are involved with Paramount.

And I don’t give a fuck about piracy. I won’t watch things made and owned by shitty companies.

I made a point of buying physical copies of anything under the impending Skydanxe umbrella while I could. At this point, second hand copies are the only good option left.

THE 2nd to last is species 8472, from the voyager series, was the enemy of the borg/voyager, and was immune to thier assimilation tech, and was OVerpowered as races go in trek, easily destroy borg ships/ and likely voyager 1-several shots, plus with a planet killer ship + 9 of thier bioships instant planet destruction.the 8472 immune system can attack other organism it touches, corroding thier insides, apparently can affect inorganic material too. they were temporarily pushed back into thier dimension because of the modified nanoprobes. in a later episode the doctor said the 8472 had 5 different sexes, so maybe. they seem to be ambivalent towards trek after thier decoy starfleet HQ was found in the delta quadrant.

the last one is the reiteration of the gorn. most people dont like nutrek, maybe snw.

Paramount trashing star trek, but simultaneously doing great things for the Avatar series.
