So apparently, in actual Japanese…
Blue Tsunami
青い津波 (kanji)
あおいつなみ (hirigana)
アオイツナミ (katakana)
aoi tsunami (romaji)
…
Which would be prounounced aloud fairly close to “owie tsunami”.
Ah - oh - ee
as alive as you need me to be

I think something along the lines of an augmented powered exoskeleton, or passive ones…
https://www.fieldtexcases.com/blog/medical-military-applications-exoskeleton-suits/
… could plausibly upscale into basically Power Armor… and you could maybe also upscale them into basically forklift with legs that you wear, from the loading bay in Alien…
I think those kinds of things are certainly within the realm of plausibility… presuming the power source can be made actually usefully weight efficient.
You can be a kind of up armored and up armed soldier, you can lift heavy shit, carry it a really long way, across broken terrain (that can support the weight).
Pair these with an active defense system, and they might actually be reasonable useful in certain military scenarios.
Its kinda like how just saying ‘drones’ is reductive… different sizes, scales, carrying capacities / payloads, ranges, speeds, methods of communication, propulsion systems, power sources … create a huge spectrum of different types and niches.
We have humanoid robots that can do bipedal locomotion pretty fucking well, without a pilot.

Pair a similar kind of software with something closer to a suit, strapped around a human, all it has to do is translate human motions to the scale of the suit, do intelligent stabilizing, kinda like how modern aircraft controls are fly by wire, not pure analog.
Now… would these kinds of things be practical, in terms of production costs vs actual utility?
No fucking clue lol.
Nice thing about PC cases is that you can, with a bit of modification, put new stuff in an old shell.
Do that, and now you’re either being ironic, retro, or just actually recycling.
How did you get so strong?
For every idiot with an IT problem that could be solved by possessing object permanence and the ability to read at above a 6th grade level, I do one push up.
…
Jesus Christ…
In terms of computational power, no, wrong.
In terms of aesthetic style, yes, correct.

I see you have not yet recieved your welcome gift!

You may redeem this beans at the hugbox/echochamber of your choice for beans of equal or greater value.

You’re gonna need this.

… when the time comes, you’ll know what to do.

You’re a fucking moron.
Now, will my comment get removed under Rule 7, or maybe Rule 8, or will your entire post here get removed under Rule 1 or 4 or 5?
It basically depends on the temperment of the mods that might look at this, whether or not somebody is offended enough to report it, etc.
People get banned or censored because they, best case scenario, break a reasonable moderator’s conception of reasonable rules, worst case, because the moderator just doesn’t like them or what they’re saying, and the moderator just makes up some nonsensical way that somehow that counts as a rule violation.
Or, in some cases, you get a pathetic cowardly power monger that writes an entire client for lemmy with a hidden, backdoored-in, ban and block list of users and instances they don’t like… shadow banning!
Different people have different ideas of what kinds of speech are reasonable or allowable, and unless or untill all humanity becomes a hivemind or gestalt consciousness, this will always be the case to some extent.
Anyway, yeah you’re only describing the specific US legal and cultural conception of free speech, its different in important ways basically everywhere else.
Uh lets see, the government has in the past and recently funded Facebook, guess don’t know much about Facebook or government funding.
Lets see… getting in peoples faces at Wal-Mart?.I got no experience with that, but I have gotten in the face of a few bigoted fucks at LGBTQ bars and shouted them out of the place. You just have to not be afraid, be ready to take a blow if they throw it, but they never do, they’re all cowards.
Anyway, a good amount of people are aware that the 1st Ammendment isn’t relevant in many situations, such as on message boards.
I have no problem blocking comms and mods who are fragile little cowards or obvious hypocrites or who are so delusional in some ideological direction that they are not capable of judging certain kinds of speech in reasonable ways…
… but that’s what is great about Lemmy! Its federated, you can just not go to places with shitty rules or mods, block shitty comms and mods, etc. Curate your own experience, actively.
We are all just people here.
Oh right, a thing people often claim to know or understand, but in reality don’t?
Other people’s intentions.

Pretty sure this is actually older than Keyboard Cat.
Edit:
Ok so, this whargarbl is 2008, technically, keyboard cat was first uploaded in 2007, but it didn’t “become a meme” untill somebody else used the clip at the end of another video, for comical effect, in 2009.
