What’s next, SSDs?
Case fans.
He’s grasping at straws to try and prevent the AI bubble popping.
Never slop

The fear of being sent this image is what’s forcing me to learn to how Gimp
Photoshop
I do find slop memes to be annoying, but at least slop artists don’t constantly spam me with the same 5 images repeatedly.
If making your own memes is what you prefer, do that instead of posting the same unattributed images over and over again. It feels like y’all are working against what you actually want, which is authentic OC.
Everyone here knows who makes funhole. Plus, in the post where the neverslop memes debuted he basically said “post these in response to any slop that you see.”
So making an issue about the attributions is kind of hilarious in this context, seeing as we are doing the creator’s bidding.
Thanks for the engagement!

Try getting upset about it.

(For those lacking pmjv’s cultural context, that’s víla Amálka.)
It’s not about OC in memes but yes, the authenticity. Memes are “self replicating units of culture” so of course the same images will be posted again and again and again with changes that evolve the memes over time.
The insertion of AI into meme culture feels like someone introduced a cancerous mutation into our memes. Whenever I see an AI take on an older meme there’s a genuine feeling of unease. I think it’s the uncanny valley between the authentic feeling that comes from the context and connection we have with the actual meme it’s mimicking and the soullessness of AI imagery.
In this particular case I feel a badly edited crop of Sam Altman’s face pasted onto the meme would hit better, but I’ll admit, I’m old and maybe out of touch.
nice meme, a bit of cognitive dissonance with ai generated image tho
It’s their money the OP was spending. OP is helping, so long as he is not paying.
And the reason is people making slop like this meme without a second thought.
Slop memes are not even a drop in the bucket
Nobody said slop memes.
They said people making slop like this meme.
All of it is slop. Most of it is low effort bullshit like this.
I didn’t say slop memes, and personal use definitely influences their success, otherwise they wouldn’t bother with it.
I actually find it interesting to see that they seem to have skipped the whole “everyone needs an AI subscription for their everyday tasks”-phase and went straight for “technology isn’t for the serfs” angle.
Guess that happens when a case of collective insanity proves that you don’t need any working business model to get rich, just enough idiots to pump an endless bubble.
Slop
Gonna sell my extra ram to China out of spite.
Good, I just bought 32gb of RAM yesterday. Sorry, Sam!
How’s the park bench after you’ve spend 2 million dollar on a 32gb ram?
Lol, I bought used DDR4 SODIMM for $190
It’s still perfectly good! In fact, some folks go as far as making DDR3 systems nowadays.
Nice, i bought 16gb ddr3 ram for my old pc and it’s like a fraction of the price. Still play modern game pretty okay.
Big spender over here!
😎
How do you feel having one less kidney?
So far so good, I have a second!
Comrad, that RAM is meant for the greater good. Drop it off at your local data center. If you don’t have a local data center, wait a week or two.
Time to pry off the 1MB BIOS chip and sell it.
Yes, the meme is slop, but of OP made it using a local model it would be pretty based.
Oh boy I need to bury those 32GB sticks
