I think I’m on the safe side, emplyment-wise. And if it turns out I’m wrong, I have a lot of contacts, so I don’t think I’d stay unemployed very wrong.
My mortgage is on a fixed rate until 2032, so while financial adjustments won’t be fun, they probably won’t be devastating either.

Same. Hell, I wouldn’t mind eating it raw; I like onion, but a whole one at once might be a bit much, so if I can spread it over a couple of hours then it’s easy enough. Although, for 1mill USD I can manage in about 5 minutes, but I could do it for A LOT less. 100$, maybe?

That seems very high to me. I live in an old two story house (so not very well insulated), in Norway, and everything is electric. I’m not even close to that kind of energy usage in winter.
