This happens a lot whenever Discord fucks up. There’s always like 10 posts in the selfhosting sublemmy shilling “Discord killers” that are AI written and don’t have considerations for the security of such an application…
and they never explain why i would use them over the more established matrix or fluxer (especially that fluxer now has federation for 2027 on their roadmap)

To be fair, I wouldn’t be surprised if many of the “discord killers” lacked functioning e2e encryption…
they probably don’t but i also doubt they’re doing much with that data, while discord actively has corporate investors.
I like stoat, encryption optional and its not owned by Israeli Intelligence as far as we know at this time.

Yeah if we count one slop standard then we have to count all 7938 new standards a week.
Plus they’re all just mix matches of old standards based on light meters, weight per volumes of x element, and temperature at phase changes of x material. None of them are actually new.
Also, even the AI systems used to establish a given standard donʻt follow it.

I do kinda like the style, just a shame that the project (and probably the website) seem to be made using LLMs (look at the git ignores for the app)
Yeah and I think if nothing else the text underlying it is surely llm.
