On Thursday, news spread that Stewart – who was best known for playing Captain Jean-Luc Picard on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and Professor Charles Xavier in the “X-Men” franchise – had died at the age of 86 following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia. That led to an outpouring of messages about the actor, including one from President Donald Trump’s deputy chief of staff for policy.
“One of the most impactful actors in the history of film, television and theater,” Miller wrote on social media.
Wheaton, who played Wesley Crusher on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” as a teenager opposite Stewart, did not care for Miller – whose politics and ideals were in direct conflict with Stewart’s own – speaking out about his late co-star. And so, he fired back at the White House staffer on his Threads account.
“Stephen Miller, on behalf of Star Trek, and everyone who knew and loved him, keep my Captain’s name out of your f–king Nazi mouth,” he wrote. “He despised you, and everything you stand for.”

Shut up, Wesley!
(Patrick Stewart didn’t call Rs “Nazis”, because he wasn’t dumb. Patrick Stewart didn’t ever claim to speak for the cast and crew of STNG, because he wasn’t dumb. Be like Patrick Stewart… not Wesley)
If the… Uh… “Rs” aren’t nazis, why nazi shaped?
Patrick Stewart was a lifelong advocate for many groups. He was very vocal about this. It’s not a big secret.
He donated money. He spoke at events. Fundraised.
This is the most downvotes I have ever seen on Lemmy.
Congrats.
Pretty sure Wil Wheaton knew more of lifelong committed socialist Patrick Stewart’s thoughts on Nazis than some internet random.
What a terrible take.
Oh its the guy with all the terrible takes.
I mean, the volume and consistency is really quite impressive.
I cannot comprehend why a person like that would stay here, do they just like being dunked on or relish being antagonistic? It’s just baffling
Maybe agent provocateur?
Humiliation fetish?
we don’t kink shame around here unless it’s LT Broccoli.
Listen, we’re not kinkshaming. We’re just kinkasking.
Both. I’ve met people like this. They do not know how to interface with other people in an agreeable way without being contrarian or contentious. They’re mentally ill and antisocial.
ShutSpeak up, Wesley!Ftfy
You’re a shitty person
Which part of them being Nazis do you disagree with?
Not to you, no. But you have no evidence that he didn’t use that word directly in conversation with Wil Wheaton. In fact, evidence points towards Stewart having a strong dislike for the nazis in question. Also, why are you even here?
Your last question .
yeah so Lemmy is mostly left and far leftist. And a few tankies sprinkled in.
Why would a centrist or right come here?
It’s surely not to find like minded people to have discussions with.
And we know the rights’ only strategy for online discourse is to spread lies. And whataboutism.
So. Based on the lie they already posted and their apparent political leaning implied by comments…
There have been a couple of right instances but I think they’re mostly gone at this point, except for hilariouschaos.
Respectfully, keep Sir Stewart’s lines out of your fucking mouth.
Disrespectfully, they should keep their fucking Nazi mouths shut.
activating blocking beam.
